On the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the Nepal Film Development Board, the government has provided special category filmmaker identity cards to 62 filmmakers. Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki presented the identity card at a program organized on Thursday.
As per the working procedure of the Fiscal Year 2073/74, the identity card has been provided to the film workers who have filled the form. Actors Uttam KC, Sunderlal Shrestha, Shivahari Nepal “Bairagi”, Bhuvan KC, Santosh Pant, Kiran Kumar KC, Sushil Pokhrel, Raj Kumar Pokhrel, Vijay Deuja, Sapna Shrestha, Pradiplal Shrestha, Mohanlal Sarraf, Gaurishankar Dhuju, Arjun Jung Shahi, Ravi Giri, Rajaram Poudel, Pawan Mainali, Manoj Kumar KC, Narayan Pradhan, and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that he would go ahead giving priority to the operation of the studio and distribute special category identity cards in the coming days as well. One lakh rupees worth of insurance has also been provided to 62 filmmakers who were given identity cards in the program.
