Batik Show: The Fusion Edition 2025 Celebrates Nepali Craft in a Contemporary Runway Spectacle

Kathmandu witnessed a striking blend of tradition and modern fashion at the Batik Show: The Fusion Edition 2025, held at Megha Malhar, The Soaltee, Kathmandu. The exclusive evening brought together Nepali craftsmanship, contemporary silhouettes, and refined runway presentation, offering a fresh perspective on batik-inspired fashion.

Curated by Empower.Events, the show highlighted how traditional batik techniques can be seamlessly reimagined for today’s fashion-forward audience. The collection featured an elegant mix of structured blouses, flowing skirts, layered gowns, and modern ethnic ensembles, showcasing intricate patterns, bold color palettes, and fluid fabrics.

One of the standout moments on the runway was the presentation of fusion silhouettes, where cropped blouses were paired with high-waisted skirts and inner satin layers, creating movement and depth with every step. The designs balanced femininity and strength, proving batik’s versatility beyond conventional styling.

The event also drew attention for its strong lineup of leading models and celebrated personalities from Nepal’s fashion and entertainment industry, including Niti Shah, Sanisha Bhattarai, Prema Lamgade, among many other prominent faces, adding star power to the evening.

Batik Show: The Fusion Edition 2025 successfully reaffirmed that Nepali craftsmanship, when fused with contemporary design thinking, holds strong relevance in today’s evolving fashion landscape.
