Nepal-EU Film Festival from Friday

The tenth series of the Film Festival, which is being organized every year with the objective of expanding cultural ties between Nepal and the European Union (EU) as well as promoting mutual harmony and cooperation through films, will start from Friday.

According to the EU delegation here, 26 other films from 14 European countries, including 15 award-winning films, will be screened at the festival, which will be held indirectly due to the Kovid epidemic.

Five Nepali feature films will also be screened at the festival. The European film to be screened has been translated into Nepali. Films of various genres including the effects of climate change and environmental protection will also be presented at the festival.

While the festival is going on, the delegation will hold indirect discussions with artists, directors, film critics, and media persons affiliated with the Nepali cinema sector and also discuss the issue of filming without affecting the environment.
