Nepal Pride Parade Marked

Sexual and gender minorities have organized ‘Nepal Pride Parade’ in Kathmandu on Saturday.

The procession was organized by Queer Youth Group and Queer Right Collective.

People from Nepal marginalized sexual orientation, gender identity, and sexual characteristics are participating in the Pride Parade.

The rally started from Maitighar Mandal in the capital on Saturday and ended in Baneshwor.

These communities celebrate Pride Parade every month around the world.

Especially after the Stonewall riots in New York in June 1969.

After the June 28 attack on the sexual and gender minorities in the name of police raids, various demonstrations took place in retaliation.

This is the month in which programs called ‘Pride Parade’ are held all over the world to commemorate this Pride Parade.
