How long have you been a professional designer? Your earliest design memory?

It’s almost been a decade now that I have been designing dresses, and the earliest memory of one of the designs which are always very close to my heart is the design I did for the then Miss Nepal Earth Sahana Bajracharya.

Your best designs to date.

There are many designs that are very close to my heart… some designs which I have individually done for Miss Nepals, actors/actresses, magazine photoshoots and there are so many collections that are close to my heart when it comes to my creation. So, it is very difficult to choose a particular design from my collection.

For you, what is your favorite part of being a fashion designer?

The favorite part of being a designer for me is turning my imagination into reality. It is my passion that I get to work with so many different materials and come up with something that I believe is creativity which fulfills my soul with so much happiness.

Your personal and professional inspirations…

Personally, my mom is my biggest inspiration who believes in hard work and kindness and a never-die trying attitude and I want to do the same.

Professionally, I am a huge fan of different fashionistas from different fields and parts of the world and designers. The personalities I really admire in terms of creativity are John Galliono, Alexander McQueen, Victor and Rolf, and many more…

What keeps you up-to-date in terms of the latest trends?

I browse through different international magazines, websites, different fashion pages on Instagram, and so on. Everything is just a click away.

What is special about your new/upcoming design?

I am working on different silhouettes and different kinds of cuts in terms of pattern making and I really wanted to come up with something that’s not very common in the market. This is my goal for my upcoming collection.

What elements of design philosophy have you incorporated in it?

Every element of design is a must while making a collection and I try to follow each and every one of them … but for my upcoming one as I said I am focused on the silhouette of the garment.

How did you come up with the concept for the new design?

Lots of brainstorming and research beyond Nepal and hours and hours of thinking helps me to come up with a new design. I really try to make sure it’s different from the last one. This is the goal I try to achieve with every new design.

Who are the targeted buyers?

Every individual who believes in creativity and likes my design are my targeted buyers but if I have to pinpoint certain clients then it has to be women in their early 20s to late 30s.
