LALITPUR: Apple Entertainment has announced its new horror film Videotape, starring popular actress Upasana Singh Thakuri and actor Kundoon Man Shakya in the lead roles.
The film was officially announced at an event held in Lalitpur on Tuesday. Written and directed by Obeid Uddin, Videotape also stars Astitwa Bhattachan, Kushal Shrestha and Risu Raut.
The film is produced by Nakim Uddin. Vasistha Pradhan is the Director of Photography (DOP), while Aashika Sharma is the Production Designer and Ishwor Ghimire is the Production Manager.
According to director Uddin, Videotape has an estimated budget of Rs. 40 million (Rs. 4 crore). The film will be made in the horror genre and will be filmed in Mustang and Upper Mustang.
The remote landscapes of Mustang and Upper Mustang will provide the setting for the film. The production team is preparing to begin principal photography soon.
