The stunning display of creativity, innovation and imagination came unbelievably on the stage. Every single moment was a real visual treat where fashion lovers not only enjoyed the new taste of creativity on fashion designs but also the way the presentation was on stage was beautifully crafted and showcased. The most exciting moment was when the creative wears came on the spotlight. As the model wearing the creative wear, the master piece of each collection took the center stage of the runway. The specific area of the runway started moving around with the support of revolving mechanism. This was a beautiful execution and most probably the first time ever applied in any fashion event of Nepalese scene. This mesmerizing presentation was been accompanied by the doll exactly dressed as the model was.
This spectacular scene was the highlight of the 17th graduation fashion show of Namuna College of Fashion Technology (NCFT) one of the most anticipated events in the Nepalese fashion scene. With the event named Kalpanam Satyatat, the 83 graduating designers showcased their individual creativity through a series of mesmerizing presentations that explored various themes. The event saw nine different collections derived from various inspirations under nine different themes like Crystalline, Femme Fatale, Aurora, Gilded Glamour, Kintsugi art, Black Swan, Graffiti, Glow in Dark and Eclectic. Each presentation saw the saga of expression portrayed on the canvas of various fabrics, explored through various elements of design and variations, and expressed in various moods of colors to create a magnificent and mesmerizing look for each piece of clothing. Each collection had a masterpiece of creative wear as the highlight of the collection.
The event took off with the runway presence of the founder principal of the NCFT, Mrs. Gyani Shova Tuladhar accompanied by promotional models of the event. Hosted on 6th of April 2023, the NCFT graduation fashion show took place at The Soaltee Kathmandu, with media person and fashion choreographer Rojin Shakya directing and choreographing the event. The runway came into life with the awesome performances by 27 female and 6 male models, including both professional models and students from NCFT itself.
The show also incorporated the launching of the second edition of fashion catalog published by Namuna College of fashion technology. The unveiling of the fashion catalog was jointly been performed by Vice-Chancellor of Purbanchal University Prof. Dr. Yadav Raj Koirala and Founder Principal of Namuna College Mrs. Gyani Shova Tuladhar. The show was presented as a part of the academic requirements of the “Fashion Show” course of the final (eight) semester under Purbanchal Universitys Bachelor of Fashion Design and Management (BFDM) program.
Chairman of Saakha Group, Kiran Saakha, Executive Director of National Skill Testing Board Dr. Kul Bahadur Basnet, Fashion Choreographer and actor Prasant Tamrakar, First Miss Nepal Ruby Rana Shah, Fashion Designer Ramila Nemkul, Fashion Educators Rajendra Singh, Kushma Shrestha and Nisha Shrestha, played the role of evaluators to judge the creations of the 17th batch graduating student designers.
