NHA TRANG, VIETNAM — Nepal’s representative Luna Luitel made a striking fashion statement at the ongoing international beauty competition in Vietnam, appearing in the World Designer Award segment in a dramatic black gown inspired by the agricultural landscapes and cultural connection between Nepal and Vietnam.
Designed by NhaMot, the statement-making ensemble combines a bold silhouette with flowing, nature-inspired details, reflecting themes of strength, growth and humanity’s enduring relationship with the land.
The deep black colour of the gown draws inspiration from Nepal’s fertile ‘Kalo Mato’ (black soil). The concept transforms the symbolism of soil and agriculture into high fashion while creating a cultural bridge between Nepal and Vietnam, two countries with deep-rooted connections to nature, farming and heritage.
Luitel’s appearance offered a distinctive blend of fashion, culture and storytelling, presenting Nepal-inspired symbolism on an international stage through contemporary couture.

The ongoing international competition is set to culminate with its grand crowning ceremony on September 5 at 8:00 PM local time in Nha Trang, Vietnam, with the event scheduled to be broadcast live globally.
