Kathmandu,– Jagdamba Motors Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Proton vehicles in Nepal, is preparing to introduce the all-new Proton e.MAS 5, which the company says will be the country’s first rear-wheel-drive (RWD) compact electric SUV in its segment.
The upcoming launch marks another step in Nepal’s rapidly growing electric vehicle market, as demand continues to rise for technologically advanced and sustainable mobility solutions.
Built on a dedicated rear-wheel-drive platform, the Proton e.MAS 5 is designed to offer balanced weight distribution, improved handling, enhanced stability, and a more engaging driving experience. According to the company, these characteristics make the SUV well suited to Nepal’s varied road conditions, from busy city streets to highways and hilly terrain.
Jagdamba Motors, part of the Shanker Group, said the introduction of the e.MAS 5 reflects its continued commitment to expanding Nepal’s electric mobility landscape. The company has been strengthening its presence in the EV market through its growing portfolio of electric vehicles, nationwide sales and service network, and investment in after-sales support.
