
KATHMANDU: The official trailer of the Nepali film ‘Pension Patta’ was released amid a formal event in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

The film explores the real-life struggles faced by former Gurkhas over pension-related issues. The trailer highlights their emotional and social challenges, while also presenting the relationship and performances of actors Dayahang Rai and Gaumaya Gurung.

During the event, the film’s director and cast members shared their experiences from the shooting and recalled memorable moments from the set.
Produced under the banner of Maotse Gurung Films, the film is written and directed by Maotse Gurung. It features Dayahang Rai, Gaumaya Gurung, Wilson Bikram Rai, Buddhi Tamang, Pashupati Rai, Bishwas Gurung, Maya Gurung, Pushkar Bahadur Gurung, late Sunil Thapa and Luniva Tuladhar, among others.
The film is produced by Min Konme Gurung, Bhoj Bahadur Gurung (UK), Maya Gurung (UK), and Sapana Gurung (Hong Kong).
‘Pension Patta’ is scheduled to be released nationwide on September 11 (Bhadau 26).
