
After a triumphant 7-month musical tour across the United States, Ashesh, known as ‘The Himalayan Hendrix,’ has returned to his homeland. This extensive tour featured 12 captivating shows alongside 17 talented independent musicians, making it one of his longest and most memorable journeys to date.
Throughout the tour, Ashesh proudly wore his handmade Native Attire, symbolizing the resilience of indigenous peoples worldwide. Reflecting on the experience, he expressed, “Despite the lasting effects of the colonial mindset, we stand strong above all circumstances.”
In recognition of his commitment to community awareness and his global musical contributions, Ashesh received a certificate of appreciation from the Federation of Indigenous People of Nepal-California, America. The ceremony took place in Berkeley, California, where he was honored for his remarkable achievements.
Ashesh, a renowned musician, has already toured in 11 different countries and over 12 states in the USA. Headlining numerous music festivals such as Alamar 2007 Music Festival in Spain, Edinburgh Mela 2011 in Scotland, Herzberg Festival 2011 in Germany, and Fauskivalen Music Festival in Hemsedal, Norway, Ashesh has left an indelible mark on the international music scene. During his 2010 European tour, the Norwegian and German press dubbed him “The Himalayan Hendrix.”
In 2015, Ashesh’s contributions to music and social work were recognized by the Colorado Music Business Organization, Colorado, with a prestigious award. Moreover, his albums and songs have received nominations at the Hits FM Music Awards in 2010 and 2016 across various categories. Serving as a jury member, he has also evaluated musical competitions like the Battle of the Bands in the UK held in Nepal. Additionally, Ashesh has shared his musical knowledge as a teacher at the School of Rock in the USA.
With six impressive music albums already released, Ashesh’s latest offering, “All Those Beautiful Dreams,” debuted in 2022/23 during his USA tour. Undeterred by his past accomplishments, Ashesh is gearing up to create yet another milestone for his nation on the international music platform. He will be returning to the USA to headline the highly anticipated “Best Dam Blues Fest 2023” in September, held in Milwaukee, WI.
