PM’s assurance to help make the film sector run smoothly

The government is set to help revitalize the Nepali film industry, which has been hardest hit by the Corona epidemic. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has given such assurance in a meeting with artists close to the Nepali Congress.

About five dozen artists led by the Cultural Association, a sister organization of the Nepali Congress, had reached the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

On the occasion, the artiste briefed Prime Minister Deuba about the problems faced by the film industry due to Corona. The artists also urged the Prime Minister to arrange vaccinations for the artists as soon as possible. The Prime Minister had assured Deuba that the government would provide assistance to the artists as soon as possible. On the occasion, Chairman Tirtha Thapa also handed over a letter of appreciation to Prime Minister Deuba on behalf of the association.

The artists had requested the artists to participate in the national visit of the Prime Minister.
